Ordinal Protestors Enraged As Taproot Punks Cosplayers Bribe David Bailey Into Giving Them Speaking Time

What began as a good-faith gesture on the part of Bitcoin Magazine CEO David Bailey to provide a time and place for BREC-20 tokens/ordinal/jpeg critics to protest during the Bitcoin 2024 Conference in Nashville turned ugly this week when a series of leaked tweets revealed negotiations between Bailey and a group of reformed Tron traders who now traffic exclusively in Taproot Punks.

The group rose to prominence on X (formerly Twitter) by creating one-off physical NFT costumes for each unique Taproot Punk character. The texts revealed that the group offered Bailey a staggering 20 Bitcoin to allow each of their five members to speak for an hour each, thereby filling up the entire protest calendar availability with what is expected to be a commercial for the project.

"The Superbowl is the bussinest marketing event of the year, and the Bitcoin Magazine conference is the Superbowl of Bitcoin. So we felt that letting newly minted Bitcoiners in search of alpha suckle on newly minted Taproot Punk teat was the glowup our project needed to get to the next level, no cap." The texts revealed a 45-minute gap between Bailey receiving the offer and responding. TikTok user RizzzkyBizzness45 later shared a video of a figure appearing to be Bailey running through Bitcoin Magazine headquarters screaming, "WE'RE RICH!"

"This is utterly ridiculous and par for the course with what we've come to expect from Bitcoin Magazine," said anticipated protester and ordinal critic Bitcoin Mechanic. "But we've got other plans."

Those plans came to light yesterday when Giacomo Zucco fat-fingered a response to Bitcoin Mechanic (sending it instead to Bitcoin Magazine) in which it was revealed that they were using the flight tracking software used to track the private jets of figures like Katie Perry, Taylor Swift, and Elon Musk to track the movements of the Former-Tron Five in the hopes of picking them up from the airport and "filtering" them from being able to make it to the convention center floor.
